ABOUT THE SOFTWARE QA POSITION
Our Quality Assurance Specialists play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our custom software solutions. They work closely with our Business Software Development teams to test and validate software applications, ranging from small utilities to large-scale enterprise systems.
By joining our QA team, you’ll gain valuable experience in the software development lifecycle and have opportunities to grow into roles in software development or project management.
A TYPICAL DAY AS A SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER:
- Perform different types of testing such Manual Tests, Automated Tests, End to End Tests, Regression Tests, Performance & Load Testing.
- Design and execute API tests to verify data exchanges between systems, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and security of APIs.
- Carry out Integration testing to confirm that different software modules work together as expected, identifying any incompatibilities or integration issues.
- Understand the target user base & business use cases for the system to incorporate into our testing.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Test Plans, Test Cases based on provided Requirements, User Stories & Acceptance Criteria.
- Execute tests as specified in the developed test plans & clearly document all quality issues you find to allow the team to easily reproduce & address the issues.
- Troubleshoot quality issues reported by our team & end users to find the root cause to allow the team to address the issues.
- Improve QA processes by making recommendations & suggestions.
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in either Information Systems, Computer Science or other major related to business or information technology.
- At least 1 to 3 years experience performing software testing in a business software environment.
- Exposure to Agile development processes, with an understanding of the importance of continuous testing within sprints.
PREFERRED:
- Experience with troubleshooting & supporting web based applications.
- Experience & knowledge on following database platforms (MS SQL & MYSQL).
- Experience & knowledge on software testing, with a focus on web, mobile, API, and integration testing.
- Basic understanding with Selenium for web automation and basic mobile automation; ability to create and execute simple automated scripts.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to manage automated test suites.
- Proficiency in web and mobile testing, with hands-on experience testing on iOS and Android devices.
- Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) and integration testing methodologies.
- Experience with Test Management and Defect tracking tools.
