ABOUT THE WEBSITE DEVELOPER:

Our Internal Marketing Team handles all marketing efforts for Miles IT, creating impactful strategies for reaching prospects and customers. This team develops key marketing initiatives, increases brand awareness through content & design, and collaborates with internal experts to drive success.

Miles IT is looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to join our Internal Marketing team. The primary focus of the WordPress Developer is to ensure optimal functionality and user experience in all websites, landing pages and any other online digital assets that we develop. You will work as part of a dynamic team that possesses diverse skills across the various disciplines of digital marketing.

A TYPICAL DAY AS A WORDPRESS DEVELOPER:

Use design mockups to develop new custom websites for project customers, mainly in the WordPress platform, using HTML/CSS/PHP/JavaScript.
Perform development updates to existing websites for customers (mostly WordPress), including updating versions of plugins, WordPress, and PHP.
Utilize Git for version control throughout the development process.
Troubleshoot issues on customer’s websites as needed.
Improve performance of aspects of WordPress websites we support such as site speed.
Work with the design, content, marketing technology, and project management teams collaboratively.
Develop landing pages and other marketing assets for customers- platforms used may include WordPress, HubSpot, Pardot/Salesforce, and Marketo.
Develop compelling landing pages and other marketing materials for our customers, leveraging platforms like WordPress, HubSpot, Pardot/Salesforce, and Marketo.

REQUIRED:

1+ years of work experience designing and customizing websites using WordPress with the ability to code without page builders.
Solid knowledge of PHP programming to develop custom functionality, modify plugins, and troubleshoot complex website issues.
Experience using Git for version control, managing code changes and collaboration
Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end development
Patience and ability to work collaboratively, willingness to help out the team, strong work ethic, attention to quality and detail
Passion for front-end web development that is evident in the energy applied to producing high-caliber work.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them by target dates while maintaining attention to detail.

PREFERRED:

Education & Experience: BA and 2+ years of work experience with WordPress website development
Expertise with JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, Git, HubSpot, Pardot/Salesforce, Google Analytics/Google Tag Manager
Ability to communicate about complex development concepts to customers when needed
